Raf Schoenmakers is in 1995 afgestudeerd als ingenieur maar in de eerste plaats geboeid door animatie en film. Hij is actief in de audiovisuele sector: 3D, animatie, postproductie, compositing, interactieve toepassingen, grafisch ontwerp en illustratie, zowel voor artistieke als voor commerciële projecten. Als de creativiteit inspireert, volgt de techniek. Schoenmakers is al vele jaren actief als (gast)docent bij KASK HoGent (animatie) en Howest DAE (digital arts and entertainment, 3D production & VFX).
